Reception
At St Edmund Campion, we value and recognise that the experiences a child has whilst in their early years has an impact far beyond this stage of their life.
We strongly believe that every child deserves to learn in a safe and secure environment which enables them to explore and feel challenge.
The reception team work hard to ensure your child has a rich and rewarding experience during their time with us and we want to work with you to make sure that your child grows and reaches their full potential during their time with us - with lots of fun along the way of course!

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework
All EYFS practitioners at St Edmund Campion are familiar with and plan for memorable learning experiences in accordance to the EYFS Framework. Within this framework, there are 7 key areas of learning:
Prime areas:
- Communication and Language
- Physical Development
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
Specific areas:
- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Understanding the World
- Expressive Arts and Design
Based on these areas of learning, judgements are made at the end of your child's time in Early Years to fully assess and support your child in their ongoing learning journey. There is a huge amount of progress made in this year of your child's education that we celebrate with you along every step of the way!
