Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.
The nursery forms part of the Foundation Stage of Learning.
Learning in this phase is especially important as it underpins and forms the foundation for all future learning. Children in the nursery follow the Foundation Stage Curriculum. There are six areas of learning including: Personal, Social and Emotional Development; Communication, Language and Literacy; Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy; Knowledge and Understanding of the World, Physical Development and Creative Development.
The curriculum is play based; play allows children to learn in a natural, satisfying and fun way – appropriate to their stage of development and their interests. Play gives children the opportunity to practise their developing skills and use what they have learned in different ways. Opportunities for learning in all six areas of the curriculum are planned for indoor and outside.
To put your child’s name down you must fill out a Supplementary Information Form | Download Form Here | and return it to the nursery office. You will be contacted when we start the allocation process, approximately 6 months before the term your child is entitled to start.
The allocation process for the academic year 2012-13 is now closed.
Children born between 1st April 2010 and 31st March 2011 will be allocated in the academic year 2013-14, parents will receive confirmation of places by the end of April 2013.
