Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

The nursery forms part of the Foundation Stage of Learning.

Learning in this phase is especially important as it underpins and forms the foundation for all future learning. Children in the nursery follow the Foundation Stage Curriculum.

There are 7 areas of learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage. These are; Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Communication and Language, Physical Development, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World and Expressive Arts and Design.

The curriculum is play based; play allows children to learn in a natural, satisfying and fun way – appropriate to their stage of development and their interests. Play gives children the opportunity to practise their developing skills and use what they have learned in different ways. Opportunities for learning in all seven areas of the curriculum are planned for indoor and outside.

To register your child you must fill out a Supplementary Information Form  Admissions SIF 2018-19   and return it to the nursery office.
