The Year 5 boy’s school football team joined 19 other teams and took part in a 6-a-side tournament at Claires Court recently.
The team won their group comfortably, including a fine win against Lowbrook.
They then had to keep their nerve to survive two penalty shoot-outs, first against Davenies in the quarter finals and then Oldfield in the semi-finals.
The boys having played brilliant football all afternoon thoroughly deserved their place in the final against Berkhamstead. Only to unluckily conceded a goal with the last kick of the game.
William O’Connor was presented with a trophy having been voted the player of the tournament.
Well done to the 7 boys who represented the school so well. Also a big thank you to all the parents who helped with the transport and stayed and supported a great performance by the team.
