Y5 Girls Kwik Cricket

St. Edmund Campion cricket team joined seven other teams and took part in the newly formed girl’s Year 5/6 Ascot and Maidenhead Kwik cricket tournament at Maidenhead and Bray cricket club, recently.

The team who were mostly Year 5′s played outstanding cricket, showing excellent batting, bowling and fielding skills.

The girls can consider themselves very unlucky, having just missed out on winning their group by 2 runs and a place in the final, having beaten St. Mary’s and Courthouse.

This was followed by an 8 run defeat by Holyport in the third place play off.

Very well done to the 10 girls who represented the school, who thoroughly deserved their certificate for their efforts.

As always a big thank you to the parents who helped with the transport.
