The school can be very proud of the girl’s year 5/6 football team playing in the recent Ascot and Maidenhead girl’s tournament, their very first competition.
The team defended well in their first two group matches, only losing 1-0 to both Holyport and Holy Trinity.
The team’s confidence grew from match to match. Saving their best performance to last with a 0-0 draw against a strong Furze Platt side, with most of the play in their half.
The experience they gained will be a massive help when they play future matches and competitions.
Very well done to the 10 girls who represented the school.
