Team Point Winners

Cleaner Required
We require a trustworthy school cleaner for two hours a day, either before or after school, or even in the evening.  The successful candidate will need to undergo a DBS check.

Nursery parents are required to attend.  Parents from Reception, Y1 and Y2 should not attend  unless they are helpers.  Apply to help through the PTA Facebook or the office. The cost will be £3.50, which includes refreshments; tickets are on sale at the door.  Please note that pick up at 6.30 for infants is from the infant playground door.
Half Term Holiday

Y5 Residential Trip-November 2017
There will be a meeting to discuss the PGL residential trip in the next academic year for the current Y4 parents and pupils.  The meeting will be in the school hall on Friday 24th February at the end of the school day.  It is important that all parents attend.
PTA Quiz Evening-Saturday 25th February
Booking is now open for this event.  The cost is £5 a head.  There will be a bar but please provide your own nibbles. This event is always huge fun.

Mrs Brookman’s class assembly: Friday 10th March 9.10
Another Date for Your Diary
The PTA will be organising a race night on Saturday 29th April in the school Hall.  Tickets are £10 per head and this includes a fish and chip supper.  For those who haven’t been to a race night before, 8 horse races are run and you can bet on a horse for £1; you can also buy a horse or jockey for £5 to win a bigger prize!  It’s a really fun night.  If you want to come along on your own, don’t be put off as we can join you up with other tables, it’s a great chance to get to know other parents.  We are looking for raffle prizes, so if you have anything at all to donate, please email, we would be very grateful.   Tickets will be going on sale shortly.
Year 5/6 Girl’s Football
An excellent performance by the girl’s year 5/6 football team, playing only their second ever league match.
Despite the wet and very muddy conditions they managed to beat Riverside 6-0.
Well done to the 9 girls who represented the school.
As always a big thank you to the parents who helped with the transport and stayed and supported the team.
Pool Lifeguard Volunteers Needed
During the summer term and over the summer holidays we open the pool after school 3.30-5pm and weekends and holidays 2-4pm.
In order to be able to open the pool we need volunteer lifeguards.
The PTA funds the shallow water lifeguard course which you will need to go on for the training. This is held over 2 afternoons at Windsor leisure pool (dates to be confirmed). As the PTA fund this training we ask you to commit to doing at least 10 life guarding sessions throughout the summer (these can be weekday or weekend sessions).
Please remember that when you are lifeguarding your focus HAS to be on the pool and the safety of those using it, so if you have young children who are unable to swim unaided and will therefore need your attention then this may not be a suitable role for you at the moment.
We need to get the lifeguard courses booked up so if you feel that this is something you could do then please email
Thank you to those of you who have already put your names forward – Lucy will be in touch with course dates when she has them.
