SEND stands for special education needs and disabilities. Children who fall under this umbrella may be offered additional support across a range of services dependent on their specific need (or needs). Our local offer sets out the services to which we have links within school and is under ongoing review.
The aim of St Edmund Campion Catholic Primary School is to ensure that every child receives the best education possible through inclusive teaching and varied learning opportunities. We want all our children to have high aspirations for themselves and a pride in what they can do, who they are and who they could be.
We are totally inclusive and welcome all pupils with SEN and disabilities. Children can take part in all activities because we are wheelchair friendly.
As part of the updating of SEND policy by the current government we are posting here information and policies about additional support at our school. These pages will continue to be updated as the the year progresses and as the new SEND 2014 Code of Practice transitions into our school.
