PTA

Welcome to the homepage of the St Edmund Campion Catholic Primary School PTA.

The PTA is the Parent Teacher Association – an organisation of parents and staff – and its role is to encourage closer links between the home and school. Whilst PTAs are usually best known for their fundraising work (in recent years, our PTA has raised up to £20k a year and funded 30 laptops, 30 iPads, the pool fence and path and infant pirate ship and train), it also has a very useful social and community function.

Every parent is automatically a member of the PTA, so why not get involved? It can be great fun to help with an event and it’s a great way to meet and socialise with other families in the school.

This year, we are fundraising for another set of 30 laptops for the children to use in lessons.

PTA elected officers for 2015/16 are:
Chair – Jackie George
Treasurer – Joanne Price
Secretary – Claire Credland
Lottery Coordinator – Lyndsay Smyth

Mrs Opalko is the Teacher representative and we are very lucky to have a committee of fundraisers who attend meetings.

Meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday of every month in the staff room at 8pm – everyone welcome!

Get in touch with the PTA either via the Parent Facebook Page (Search St Edmund Campion Parents and click ‘Join Group’) or email ecpta@hotmail.com.
